Senior Civils Supervisor - Raill

My client has been awarded the £363 million contract to create the new East London rail line between Dalston Junction in the North and West Croydon in the South. The project will play a major role in transporting people to and from the 2012 Olympic Games.

My client is in immediate need of a Senior Civils Supervisor to supervise, manage and co-ordinate a number of tasks within the work site and co-ordinate to complete planned works to given timescales.

Key responsibilities will include


* Application of knowledge and experience gained in a site environment.
* Demonstrating a high level of understanding and competency gained through experience.
* A willingness and ability to take on increasing responsibilities.
* A willingness to participate in ongoing training and development.
* Understanding work objectives, methodology, safety arrangements, programme and operational requirements.
* Keeping good records and enforcing good record keeping by subordinates.
* Communicating effectively to others at all levels.
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with SHEQ procedures and policies including quality of construction and environmental considerations.

The successful candidate will have supervisory skills, concrete or track experience within the Rail and/or Construction industry and be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

You will also have a demonstrable understanding of H&S and environmental legislation, company policy and company QA procedures relevant to work.

Graduate Engineer Required - Rail

The rail team is one of the largest divisions within this large company and a market leader in the provision of multi-disciplinary Railway services. They provide consultancy services that cover all aspects of rail infrastructure planning, design, project management, construction supervision and rail maintenance.

This is a fantastic opportunity as you will prepare for the role of a Senior Engineer by undertaking the company Graduate Progression Programme. Team Leader – Significant Rail Projects


Our client, one of the most successful Australian architectural practices with offices in Australia and in the Far East, is actively looking for a Team Leader to join their team in Australia and work on exciting and challenging rail projects.

Australia is an exciting country, with a beautiful landscape, a huge number of cultural attractions, a developed architectural scene and an attractive day and night life. You will be based within a well known architectural practice in one of Australia’s biggest and nicest cities Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide or Perth.

The successful candidate will be ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within a budget and in accordance with an expected quality.

Reporting to the Project Principal, you will be coordinating works between the different departments, and will be liaising with clients, contractors, subcontractors and local authorities on a regular basis. Ensuring that Principals, Associates and Senior Project Leader are aware of the advancement of the project will be also a big part of the role.

Candidate requirements:

* Degree qualified in a relevant field
* 8+ years of relevant experience in rail projects
* Substantial experience in heavy rail infrastructure, architectural design and construction is required.
* Financial management skills
* Computer literate (MS Office, AutoCAD)
* Strong communication and presentation skills
* Ability to work under pressure
* Team player
* Ability to manage, delegate and motivate a team of professionals efficiently.

Particular consideration will be given to candidates who demonstrate national and international level experience on underground rail station design and especially to those candidates that can demonstrate contemporary knowledge of heavy rail systems and service issues, international rail design criteria, fire and lift safety, engineering interfaces and structural design constraints.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Working in a multi-disciplinary rail design environment, reporting to the project manager or Companys country representative, the candidate will provide consultancy and design services to clients and to our clients rail development project teams.

The duties will include;
Providing clients with track design and construction expertise

Essential:
